Charter School Informational Mailings Notice and Removal Form

NYCPS is offering all parents the ability to opt out of receiving charter school informational mailings produced by Vanguard. You can inform your school’s students and their families that they may refuse mailings by submitting the online Charter School Informational Mailing Notice and Opt-Out Form by October 31. Note that to complete the survey, families will need their student’s OSIS number; if a student is age 18 or older, they must complete the form themself.

 

To accommodate this process, please review the following information and take appropriate action by the deadline shown:

Communicate this survey to families through your preferred electronic touch points (school newsletter, classroom reminders, etc.) by October 28.
Provide a way that families can request their OSIS number if they do not know it and wish to complete the form by October 31.
Support families who wish to opt out, but may not have access to the internet, or may need support, by October 31.

Please note that this is an optional opt-out process and that families cannot be directed to complete the form if they do not wish to opt out.

 

Families who miss the October 31 deadline can still submit the form by the final deadline of January 15 to stop receiving the informational mailings after March 2026. Once families submit the form, they will not need to do so again in future school years.
