Vision

Vision is a college bound program sponsored by Los Padres Foundation, L.C.C. Students with a minimum of 80 average may apply for this after-school program that provides supplemental services to help participants prepare for college. The Vision program focuses on educational advancement, cultural awareness and community service. Participants receive guidance in how to prepare for higher educational studies, career awareness, learn about various cultures, develop leadership skills and enhance self-awareness through workshops and various trips. Participants are required to attend meetings, do additional work including research papers and community service. They are given opportunities to participate in various excursions, including retreats, shows and other cultural and educational trips, such as to Washington DC, Boston and college tours. Many participants that have been committed to their education and the Visions program have successfully gained admissions to various colleges and have earned scholarships.
